Dan Sawyer is an LA-based composer and musician who has written music for TV and film and has played and recorded as a guitarist for major recording artists. Uke Of Ages is a combination of standards and originals with touches of jazz, blues and bluegrass. Primarily instrumental, Sawyer showcases a real mastery of the ukulele with lots of hot lick playing on his delightful originals. You can hear influences ranging from Smeck to Fleck and beyond. Dan also has a fine voice that he puts to use on his "Its Uke Time." Every track is great but stand-outs include "Whoopsi Daisy," "Comin Home Baby," and a gorgeous "When You Wish Upon A Star."
