Lyle Ritz and Rebecca Kilgore
I just placed an order for the new CD by Lyle Ritz and Rebecca Kilgore. This is an exciting CD since I am not only a huge fan of Lyle, but Rebecca is one of my favorite singers. I have a CD by her and the great John Miller. Here’s a sample of that CD with Rebecca on vocals and John Miller on guitar:

Lyle and Rebecca’s new CD is available at CD Baby. There are samples of all the tracks: http://cdbaby.com/cd/ritzkilgore

Uku The Mighty
I recently received a copy of “Uku the Mighty” from John Moen. This is a great recording! I have added it to the UkeFarm playlist. The tunes are mostly originals, with a few covers included, “Every Breath You Take” and “You Are My Sunshine”. “Kim’s Waltz” is stunningly beautiful. John Moen, Greg Vik, Dr. Bret Smith, and Andy Etue have created my new favorite uke CD.

It is also available on iTunes.

Ko’olau has announced new models of their popular Pono series of ukes. Pono ukes are a great buy for the quality and sound. Manufactured on the island of Java, with final adjustments and set-up by Ko’olau in Hawaii, the Pono ukes use the finest grade of solid woods for body, neck, binding, purflings and bridges, bone for nut and saddle, mother of pearl for our logo and fingerboard position markers, and high quality Grover tuning machines.
